Over the past week mama was gradually going downhill; becoming less responsive, sleeping more etc. On Saturday night I even felt we needed to stay by her bedside, but the nurse didn't think it was that bad.
Sunday was ok, but then on Monday (yesterday) it was like she got a new lease on life. From early in the morning she was suddenly talking more and strongly, barely slept all day, and was very aware of her environment. At times she even made little jokes in response to things we were saying!
Today isn't as good as yesterday, but still better than the past week.
It seems that the pattern of three steps backwards and two forward is continuing.
