In early March we put our wonderful house in Taroona on the market, and it got a lot of interest. We had two signed contracts above our asking price, but both of them fell through on conditions in the contract: one couldn't sell their house, the other couldn't get financing. We were going to have an auction on May 17th, but a lovely young couple bought it two days before - for a little less than our asking price.
So, we're getting ready for the move back to Melbourne. The removalists will be here May 30th: they'll pack a shipping container which will be stored in Tassie until we're back from Europe in mid-September.
We're also of course getting ready for that trip - booking accomodation, train trips etc. Our current itinerary is below, and we'll keep it updated on this blog.
