Mama's Birthday

Yesterday we celebrated mama's 77th birthday. Mama had a really good day, was awake most of the day, and we think she realised it was her birthday. There were lots of flowers and cards, but the number of visitors was kept to a minimum so mama wouldn't get too tired.

Around coffee time at night all of us children were there with mama, and as you can see from the picture we had a lovely time. Mama responded well to the little jokes that were being made - mostly with one of her many very expressive facial expressions, but even with some appropriate comments.

It was a better day than we could have hoped for, and will be a great memory.
